ACTIVITIES

This committee is responsible for securing all entertainment for SAPG-2008.  Some of the options being considered are: Karaoke, DJ, Hypnotist, Caricature Artists, Local Bands, Casino Games, Inflatables, Bingo, Laser Tag, Game Room, Movies, Foam Party, and Dodge Ball. 

DECORATIONS
This committee will determine the theme and decorate accordingly.  Prep work will begin in the spring.  Non senior parents will be needed to help decorate Sunset Mall  beginning at 8:30 pm on May 31, 2008. 

  • CHAPERONES AND VOLUNTEERS
    This committee provides supervision for the evening.  Potential volunteers will include former teachers and coaches from elementary, middle and high school, Goodfellow AFB, church youth group leaders, and students from Howard or Angelo State University.  Also San Angelo Stampede and Colts players will be contacted to serve as volunteers.

    DOOR PRIZES AND RAFFLES
    Every participant will receive a door prize consisting of a Project Graduation 2008 t-shirt and a gift bag containing items such as gift cards from local merchants.  Raffle items will consist of popular electronics like Laptop computers, IPOD's, I-PHONE, DVD players, Camcorders, Flat screen TV's, PS-3, Wii, etc.  Our ultimate goal is to provide one major prize-were a planning on securing a car!  This committee will also secure a popular MC for the raffle drawings.  The raffle will begin at 5:00 am with the major prize [car] to be announced at 6:00 am.  Door prizes will be given out at breakfast.  In order to be eligible for the raffle drawings, the graduate must attend from midnight to 6:00 am. 

  • REGISTRATION AND VERIFICATION

    This committee will work with counselors office to verify that each student qualifies to attend Project Graduation.  The qualifications will include:

    #1. Qualify to walk for graduation with no major discipline record during senior year.

    #2. Pay $10 by April 15 to attend.  If pay between April 15 and May 30, the fee      will increase to $15.  There will be an additional fee of $5 for a commerative         DVD of Project Graduation.

    This committee will also be responsible for developing a release and acknowledgment of rules form that each student will need to sign and return before they will be admitted. This group will also promote registration at each campus.  

    If a graduate leaves the party before 5:00 am, they will not be allowed to return to event and eligible for prize drawings.

  • FOOD

    This committee will arrange for food donations from local restuarants and mall vendors.  Our goal is to provide a continuous supply of food like chocolate fountain, Chick-Fil-A nuggets, ice cream sundae bar, pizza, slushes and fruit kabobs.  Breakfast will be donuts, burritos, OJ and coffee.  This committee will secure workers to set up and serve the food.  Coca cola will provide beverages. 

  • CLEAN UP AND SECURITY

    This committee will assemble a crew of 15-20 volunteers to take down decorations, store casino equipment, throw out trash and perform general clean up starting at 4:30 pm.  Senior parents should help with clean up.  Security will be provided by Sunset Mall and the San Angelo Police department. 

  • WEBMASTER

    This person will develop and maintain a website.  The webmaster will supply updates to the website with minutes from meetings and pertinent committee reports.  The domain name will be sanangeloprojectgraduation.org 

  • PUBLICITY  

    This committee is responsible for promoting SAPG-2008 by advertising meetings in the newspaper, radio and both Central and Lakeview Campuses. This committee will work with Fundraising to encourage donations.

  • SECRETARY

    The secretary will keep minutes from the monthly planning meetings and executive board meetings.  The minutes will be submitted to webmaster so that they may be posted on the website.  The secretary will be responsible for mailouts.  In addition, the secretary will keep an updated membership roster and send out pertinent emails to the membership.
  • TREASURER

    The treasurer will keep track of all monies collected on behalf of SAPG-2008 and will submit a financial report at each monthly meeting. The treasurer will work with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley which will serve as the foundation for donations and grants received on behalf of San Angelo Project Graduation. 

    ALL DONATIONS SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO  ADACCV WITH SAPG-2008 IN MEMO LINE.
